PhD scholarships awarded to three Rupantar team members

Anjana Chaudhary, Emma Karki and Pragya Timsina will all commence their PhDs within the University of Adelaide’s School of Social Sciences in 2025, and will be supervised by Associate Professor Georgina Drew, Associate Professor Doug Bardsley, Dr Tamara Jackson and Dr Brendan Brown.

Anjana was awarded an ACIAR John Allwright Fellowship (JAF) in 2023, while Emma and Pragya were awarded International PhD scholarships from the University of Adelaide in 2024. This is a great achievement as these positions are very competitive, and it reflects their excellent skills and experience. They will continue to be connected to the Rupantar project through their research work.

We will miss them in their current roles with CIMMYT, but we look forward to continued collaboration for their PhD journey, and wish them all the best for the future.
