Highlights from Province 1, Nepal

This visit was a great opportunity to formalize the engagement of the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives (MoLMAC) from Province 1, Nepal in Rupantar, outlining the working modality by signing an MoU with the Secretary, Meghnath Timilsina.

 

A visit to partners in Biratnagar like Jeevan Bikas Samaj (JBS), Nepal Krishi company (NKC), and Maharanijhoda Cooperative in Jhapa opened up a prospect to inform more about the Rupantar project and its plan for the first year to focus on research and contextualization and a baseline assessment and the findings of which will be the guiding document for potential areas of intervention. All partners expressed their interest in technical support, and the project will be following up on this in the coming months.
